On Monday mornings we will begin each week with a time of praise and worship for all 3rd-6th graders. Mr. Weimer has arranged to have the parent of one of his students lead this special time from 8:00-8:20. The students will still line up and come up to the room to put down their bookbags before we go to the Chapel and start the week with this time of honoring the Lord!
VISITING THE RESIDENTS AT SUNRISE SENIOR LIVING:
On Pi Day our students enjoyed eating many of the scrumptious pies you so generously sent. Some of the pies we shared with our neighbors. We walked next door, carrying pies and sharing some joy. We took just a few minutes to greet the residents in the main parlor and to sing “Jesus Loves Me.” Several residents were clearly touched and some joined in our song. Just before leaving, one of our students led in prayer for each of them to enjoy a blessed day. We hope to return just before Easter to share a craft and add greetings and prayer.

Once again the auction was a time of great festivities and success. Thank you to all who participated in any way to help support Fresno Christian Schools.
LOST AND FOUND:
Please have your children stop by and check to see if any items in our Lost and Found belong to them.
ENDING OF 3RD QUARTER:
3rd quarter ended on Friday, March 16. The school will make report cards available on-line by the latter part of the week.
Both grades will begin Ch. 8. 5th grade will study Multiplication and Division of Fractions while 6th grade learns Applications of Percent.
Due to changes in the schedule, we postponed last Friday’s quiz for one week. We will review the heart and circulatory system during our next science class on Tuesday. Since we then have a half day on Wednesday, our quiz will be on Friday, March 23.
READING AND LANGUAGE:
For the month of March we are reading fantasy books. Students should try to complete their books by March 26. A short graphic organizer will be given for the students to write their responses at that time. We are also typing and editing our Young Author stories. Each of these will be made into books and displayed in the hallway.
5th graders should continue to study and master their U.S. states, locations, and capitals.
5th Grade: Visiting Court
6th grade: Lesson 29
BIBLE VERSE: 1 Corinthians 11:25-26
In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me. For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
