Dear Parents,

Wow!!!! Tomorrow is Graduation!!!

Kids come at 8:00 ( regular time). The ceremony starts promptly at 10:30 in the G.L.Johnson Chapel. Bring your cameras and Kleenex! I told the kids to dress up – church clothes or whatever their mom tells them to wear!!!! We will have a cookie and punch reception after the ceremony. Girls CAN wear sandals to the Promotion.

Wednesday is our Swim Party from 11:30 – 2:30 at Camden’s pool. I still have lots of maps if you need one. Go directly to Camden’s house. There is NO school that day and it is the LAST DAY we are together!!

What a blessed year we have had. I can’t thank you enough for all your love, help and support!!

Dear Kindergarten Parents,                                             May 11, 2015

Can you believe this is our last week before promotion!! We will

be finishing up many projects in class this week. Our character trait is a Servants Heart. Also, we will be sending home report cards on Monday, May 18. Please check your child’s backpack that day.

Please look at the SWIM PARTY sign up sheet on our door. It will remind you what you signed up to bring!!!! Thank you sooo much!

I will not need mommy or daddy helpers this week. Thank you for all your help this year!!! Your check is in the mail ( TEE HEE!!!!!!!)

“K” Promotion is NEXT TUESDAY, May 19. Children come in the morning at 8:00. Promotion Ceremony begins at 10:15. All are welcome! We have the ceremony in the G.L.Johnson Chapel. Following will be a “cookie and punch” reception. Bring your camera and Kleenex!!

The videos will air on Tuesday, May 12 from 5-10 am.  They will be on our KMPH website kmph.com that afternoon for an entire month.  Go to kmph.com, click on Great Day, click on Ten Day Forecast and Great Day Faces and everyone can see them on line. Everyone can also share the videos.

This week is a VERY special week in Kindergarten! On FRIDAY we will be honoring our moms with a Mother’s Tea! Please arrive at 10:15 sharp for a delightful morning of song, tea and “crumpets”, and gifts galore!!!

Our character trait is Politeness. We will be practicing our manners to do our best at the Tea!!

OPEN HOUSE is this Tuesday, May 5. This is a fun evening of looking at our classroom and visiting with one another! ALL are welcome! We love showing off our great school!!! We open at 6:30 and finish up at 7:10. Come visit any time. BBQ is from 5:30 – 6:30.

Wow! “K” has just flown by hasn’t it!! This week we continue to learn all about the ocean. Wasn’t God creative when He made ocean life!!! Our character trait is Wisdom… thinking God’s way.

The Year End Convocation is at Peoples Church NEXT THURSDAY, May 7. Everyone is welcome! Time: 8 – 9 a.m.

This week is a very busy week in “K”. We will begin learning all about God’s ocean creatures! We’ll start an Ocean Book that you will love to hear your child read! Our character trait is FAITH. We will also begin listening to a special chapter book named “What Would Jesus Do?” Ask your child about what he learns about “growing in Jesus”.

Parents please remember that, per our agreement with People’s Church, we are to use only the Alluvial Driveway and the parking lot behind Building 5. If you are currently using the east side driveways and parking lot, please adjust your routine to be in compliance with this policy.

Can you believe your “little” critter is almost a “big” first grader?!! This week we will be learning about ZOO animals. We’re making a Zoo Book for you to read at home. Our character trait is JOY. Our Bible verse is “You are my God and I will give You thanks.” Psalm 118:28.

Our Zoo trip is Friday, April 17^th. We will ride the bus. Please be at school by 8:00. We’ll visit the Zoo from 9 – 10:45 then ride back to school and have a picnic lunch. PLEASE BRING A LUNCH! I will provide the blankets, ants (tee hee!) and popsicles for dessert!

Tuesday, May 5 is Open House. This is a fun evening of looking at our classroom, eating cookies and playing on the playground for a long recess! ALL are welcome! We love “showing off” our great school!!!! We open at 7:00 and finish up at 8:00. Drop in anytime!

We will be talking about Easter and it’s meaning this week. Praise God for our school where we can talk freely about Jesus! Our character trait is forgiveness. NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK! READ BOOKS YOU HAVE AT HOME!

This Friday is our Easter Party and Fresno State Farm trip. We are having a picnic and party with our tour. Be at school by 8:00. We will ride the bus. We’ll be back to school by 12:00. DON’T FORGET TO BRING A SACK LUNCH! We will provide an Easter dessert and have an Easter Egg Hunt!!!! Wear your Witters Critters shirt.

Remember Easter vacation begins March 30 and ends April 6. We return to school on TUESDAY, April 7.

I so enjoyed talking with you all at Parent Conferences. Your Critters are growing in every way – intellectually, spiritually, and physically!!! They are amazing Critters!

We are wrapping up our unit on Insects. Have your heard the insect song yet???? If not ask your child to teach you!

Thanks for coming to the auction! It was sure fun!!

Our Easter Party and field trip to Fresno State’s Farm will be combined on Friday, March 27. We are having a picnic and party with our tour of the farm. Come from 8 – 12. We’ll ride the bus. PLEASE BRING A SACK LUNCH and dessert will be provided. We’ll have an Easter Egg Hunt too!!!
