Dear Parents,

Thanksgiving is soooo late this year so we must begin our Christmas activities now!!! I know this seems strange… ……but we usually have 3 weeks after Thanksgiving before Christmas vacation and THIS YEAR we only have 2!!! So if your kids come home and say they are making stockings and angels they are telling the truth!!!

Next Friday, November 21 we will be walking to Sunrise Assisted Living (right by the tennis courts of our school) to sing our Thanksgiving songs!! I could use a few parents to help us dress the kids in their Indian clothes we made and walk with us there. We will need help dressing at 10:15 and we will walk over at 10:30. Let’s spread Thanksgiving joy to the Grandmas and Grandpas that live there!!

Our character trait this week is LOVE. Our bible verse is “No one can serve two masters,” Matthew 6:24. Our letter is N. Our sight word is we.

Don’t forget our Thanksgiving Celebration, Tuesday, November 25 at 10:45 in SMC Main (near building 6). Bring your cameras and maybe a kleenex!!

I appreciate all your support and prayers more than I can say. Blessings to you and your precious kids!

Dear Kindergarten Parents,                                    November 10, 2014

What a fun time we had at the Discovery Center. Thanks for all your help!!

We are getting ready for our Thanksgiving Celebration!. This time of the year is so much fun, and your presence makes it even more enjoyable for everyone, especially your youngsters. If you can’t come any other time, do try to come for the Thanksgiving Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 10:45-12.

Our verse this week is Psalm 8:1, “Majestic is your name in all the earth!” Our character trait continues to be Thankfulness.

It’s a good idea to have your child wear a turtleneck or long sleeve shirt under his/her Indian costume on the day of the
Thanksgiving Celebration. Have little girls wear leggings or pants – not dresses. We will be wearing our “pillowcase” costumes for the show!

Our Christmas Program is December 9 at 7:00. It will be in the Fresno Christian Gym. Bring your cameras!!!

Harvest and Fall is our theme for this week. Be watching for a pumpkin book to come home soon!

What a wonderful time we had with all the grandparents!!! They are lots of fun!!

Our character trait is Friendship. Please continue to earn money for the little missionary books we sent home a few weeks ago. Keep sending letters regarding instances your child exhibits any of our character traits. It’s such a great way to reinforce good behavior!

Our verse this week is, H-“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.” Revelation 4:8. Remember to practice at home.

Please send a plain white pillowcase for your child. We will dye and cut them for our Indian costumes for the Thanksgiving Celebration.

Our Pumpkin Patch field trip is Friday, October 17. We’ll ride the bus, but if you bring a sibling you will have to drive a car. We will have a picnic there so send a SACK LUNCH (disposable containers please). Chaperones may ride the bus… but if you want a quiet, peaceful ride you should take your own car.

The Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes are due by November 10. Thank you for giving “Christmas” to a child who would get nothing.
