Can you believe it’s December!!!! Wow, the time has gone by so fast! I trust everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation with their family and friends. The Thanksgiving program was adorable! Our little Pilgrims looked so cute on stage! If any parents took pictures please send them my way! I hope everyone enjoyed listening to our Thanksgiving Story. Now we get to move on the birth of our Lord and Savior! Praise Jesus who saves from sins!
This week in class will be benchmark week. The students will be tested on their reading levels. In writing they will be tested on writing an expository text about a place. In math they will be tested on graphing, skip counting, adding and subtracting, and word problems. Over the break please be sure to keep the kiddos reading, writing, and doing math. This was they wont become too rusty over the break.
Since I will be assessing the students reading 1-on-1 I will not be doing reading groups this week.

Christmas Traditions Poster – We will be celebrating Christmas around the world in December. Students will be making a poster depicting their family Christmas traditions. This can be magazine cut outs, pictures, or drawings from your child. You can find poster boards at stores such as Walmart, Target, Longs, Dollar Tree, and Rite-Aid. The children will be making their traditions poster at home and sharing it at school.  It will be due during the week of Dec. 2-6.  Your child can bring it on any of those days and we will share in the afternoons.  Be looking for a note in their take home folders in regards to this assignment.
OUR CHRISTMAS PROGRAM IS NOT UNTIL DECEMBER 11TH! I KNOW MY CALENDAR SAID THE 5TH, I MADE A MISTAKE. IT WILL BE THE 11TH 🙂
 Dress Up Days
Together we CAN!
Once again we have the privilege to help the families of Pinedale this Holiday season!  We will be collecting CANned food Nov. 12th thru Dec. 6th to distribute through the Pinedale Book Buddies program.  Our High School students are already volunteering as Book Buddies and we would like to continue our support for their programs. Our delivery this year will help families by providing food for Christmas.  Pinedale resource leaders put together a list of items most used in the community (see back of flyer sent home).  Please make sure to check this list before you shop. There will be a prize awarded to the classes that bring the most items (1 prize for grades K-3, and 1 prize for grades 4-6).
If you are interested in making a financial donation, please send cash/check to the office and designate “Food – Pinedale.”  We have a program with Food Maxx where we use scrip & S.H.A.R.E.S. so FCS also benefits!
If you have any questions, please contact Rob Foshee at rfoshee@fresnochristian.com .
