december 2

Hello Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! This is our last week until Christmas break, and a busy week we have! We have lots of fun activities planned for the kids. Last week we had our benchmark testing. I will be making up any testing that was missed last week.

*Important Information*: When we return from our Christmas vacation the grading on our spelling tests will change. As of now I have not taken any points off if a student reverses letters such a “b, d” or “p, q”. However, now that we are getting into the 2nd half of our year that will change. If a student reverses a letter on their spelling test they will not get credit for that word, even if it is spelled correctly. This is to help the students remember which ways our letters go. We will also work on this in writing.

*Peach Blossom Festival*: Fresno Christian will be participating in the Peach Blossom Festival held at Fresno State. 2 Students grades 1-2 will be chosen to represent our school. Please be sure to check the note sent home on Monday for more detailed information. If stduents wish to  participate they must submit a poem by January 10th.
