Jeremy’s Story: Why I’m in Education

Every parent wants their child to feel known, steady, and secure. For Superintendent Jeremy Brown, that desire is deeply personal.

Growing up in a broken family, Jeremy remembers what it felt like to search for stability, wondering if he truly belonged anywhere.

In the middle of that uncertainty, it was his teachers who stepped in. They offered consistency and encouragement. They offered something deeper than academics, they showed him the love of Jesus.

Those classrooms became more than places to learn. They became places of refuge for Jeremy.

When it came time to choose a career, education became a calling and a way to give back to the community that had given so much to him.

For the past 12 years at Fresno Christian Schools, Jeremy has served to build a school culture where students are known and families are true partners. When asked about the school’s growth from 420 students when he arrived to more than 700 today, he redirects the credit.

“Any success we have here isn’t because of me.”

He points to the faithfulness of God.

“The journey has been very up and down and dynamic and taken different turns,” Jeremy reflects, “but God’s been consistent through it all.”

When Jeremy talks about his role as superintendent, he shares,

“My first relationship with everyone here, students, staff, it doesn’t matter. They’re my brothers and sisters in Christ.”

That is the beauty of Christian education. We are not just a school community, we are family.

At Fresno Christian, students are known, teachers are supported, families partner in shaping who their children are becoming, and every child is reminded that their identity is rooted in something unshakable.

When a student walks onto our campus searching for where they fit, our prayer is that they discover what Jeremy did during his educational journey

They belong, they are seen, and they are unconditionally loved by God.
